Bookreporter Talks To

Feb 10, 2023

Jane Harper joins Carol Fitzgerald to talk about EXILES, the final book in her Aaron Falk series. She explains why she felt it was time to say goodbye to Falk. The book takes place in a lush area of South Australia, and Jane mentions a trip there that in her mind solidified the book’s setting.

She discusses how a sense of place matters to her, and addresses our reviewer Katherine B. Weissman’s question about why she may see place differently from someone who has been permanently rooted in Australia.

They also talk about the movie adaptation of THE DRY and the one coming up for FORCE OF NATURE, and how plans may be forthcoming for EXILES.
